英検準一級取得のためには、2級合格後、さらに 2,000から3,000語の単語を覚える必要がありますが、つづりや意味の似た単語が増えてくるため、英単語と日本語訳を突き合わせてひたすら繰り返し覚えようとするのは大変です。

そこで、英単語の語源を知り、英語で英語を説明する英英辞典の語義とその和訳、例文を読むことで、頭の中に英語のネットワークを作っていくことのできるリストを作りました。

記憶に残りやすいよう、例文はなるべく世界の偉人・著名人の名言から探しています。

第4回は最頻出の動詞 stimulate, boost, engage, guarantee, dump, classify, update, discourage, confirm, direct, operate, prove, defeat, target, protest です。

英検準一級の単語覚え方 最頻出動詞(4)

単語を「短期間で覚えて忘れない」ために、1回15語前後の「英単語・発音記号・発音mp3・意味・語源・英英和・例文(名言)のリスト」を、出題頻度の高い単語からご紹介していきます。

単語暗記の際には、「土日に大量」よりも「毎日少しずつ」、「前日に覚えた分を復習してから取りかかる」ことをおすすめします。

(英英辞典でよく使われる sb は somebody、sth は something の略です。)
